Rescued From Abuse
Sadly, Whisky’s early life was filled with pain. She lived in an abusive environment where her owner would regularly hit her with a thick iron rod. One day, one of these horrifying acts was caught on camera. The video quickly went viral on social media, sparking outrage and compassion across the community.
A volunteer from our network saw the video and immediately took action. With legal support and the help of the police, a complaint was filed against the abusive owner. The owner was punished, and Whisky’s custody was taken away. For the first time, she was safe.

Whisky spent her initial days of healing at The Pets Downtown, where she finally experienced kindness and care. Soon, we found her a loving foster home where she could start to rebuild her trust in humans.
